Jiayuan Komi
This year’s first deliveries of Jiayuan Komi are expected to make it an important option for urban economical transportation.
The steps taken by Chinese automakers in recent years with a focus on the European market have often set trends. In particular, these brands—presenting highly competitive price/performance figures—are now increasingly visible in Turkey. Jiayuan, a brand active in the Chinese market since 1982, is now poised to be preferred in Turkey with its Komi model positioned in the A-segment. Pre-orders for Jiayuan Komi, which will be offered through WOWWO’s distribution, have already begun.
Price and Initial Delivery Dates for Jiayuan Komi Announced
It is announced that in the sales process of Jiayuan Komi, which will operate under the Yeşil Holding umbrella and be managed by “Terra Power,” users will be offered an accessible price along with convenient payment options. Pre-orders have started at a price of 495,000 TL, with a down payment of 20,000 TL required to initiate the order process. After this, users will make an interim payment of 30% two months prior to the first delivery date marked as July 15, 2023. The remaining balance will be paid upon delivery. The brand has announced that, as part of the campaign, the USD/TL exchange rate is fixed at 19 TL, and any price differences resulting from increases in the exchange rate or in customs, VAT, and Special Consumption Tax for M1-class vehicles will be collected at the time of delivery.
Key Technical Features of Jiayuan Komi
Having attracted attention with a design award in its home country, the Komi is a compact electric car designed to meet urban travel demands in its segment. With dimensions of 2,998 mm in length, 1,522 mm in width, and 1,555 mm in height, the model directly evokes the qualities of Japan’s “KEI Car.” Additionally, it offers a trunk capacity of 150 liters, which can expand up to 400 liters when the seats are folded.
The Komi, with a total weight of 780 kg, comes standard with notable safety features. These include traction control (ASR), dual front airbags, ABS, front and rear disc brakes, air conditioning, a 7-inch multimedia screen, electric mirrors, cruise control, front/rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, heated mirrors, and keyless entry and start systems.
In terms of drivetrain, the Komi is powered by an electric motor producing 34 kW (45 horsepower) and 110 Nm of torque, combined with a 35 kWh battery. This combination enables the model to reach a maximum speed of 100 km/h, with an acceleration time of 7 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. The 35 kWh battery provides a range of up to 320 kilometers under NEDC standards. It is worth noting that no data has yet been provided for WLTP standards.
One of the notable aspects of the Komi is that it comes standard with a heat pump. This feature can significantly reduce the impact of climate control on the vehicle’s range in winter conditions. Additionally, although the model does not offer DC (fast charging) support, it provides a 7 kW AC charging capacity, allowing the battery to be fully charged in 6 hours.
