The largest reason for our country's current account deficit is energy imports. The cost imposed on our country by raw materials dependent on fossil fuels for energy imports has been heavy. Therefore, the importance of renewable energy production is significant for our country. In line with this, our group continues to invest in the renewable energy sector and, through its company Ortadoğu Yenilenebilir Enerji Üretim San. ve Tic. A.Ş., invests in all areas of renewable energy.

While project development studies in the fields of wind and solar energy had been underway previously, a geothermal project with a total capacity of 100 MW has now been developed across four different sites, and investments are ongoing.
